Interchange Respite Care NSW is the peak body for respite care and social support services.

We are inviting carers, care recipients, respite providers, and other interested parties to a short presentation & discussion forum canvassing the following issues:

1.Who is Interchange Respite Care NSW
2.Interchange Respite Care and our previous Forums
3.Transport Issues: To and for Respite
4.Carers perspective of key skills for Direct Care Workers
5.A Respite Entitlement: Your opinions
6.Carers Well Being
7.Issues in the Respite Care Industry
The aim of our forums is to canvass families & carers opinion on relevant & current issues pertaining to respite care and then feed these opinions back to Commonwealth & State political parties and Departmental planners.

Respite support can be in relation to disability, aged care, or mental health.

Entries to be submitted no later than Friday 15th October. Please include a small paragraph on what the piece means to you and your caring role. We especially would like to encourage carers who participated in the art therapy courses to lead the way. This is not a competition but an opportunity for carers to express themselves and communicate about the caring journey. At the exhibition carers can enjoy a relaxing evening of music, art and socializing. Details of the actual event will be posted out shortly. We will be accepting the art pieces from the 4th October between the hours of 10am & 3pm at Sutherland Shire Carers Support Service Office at 3A Stapleton Ave, Sutherland.
